Description
The investment seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of the value of its net assets in common stocks, preferred stocks, and other securities convertible into common or preferred stock of publicly traded companies wherever they may be in the world. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest in companies located in at least three different countries including the United States. In addition, it will normally invest 40% or more of its total assets in securities of non-U.S. companies.
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital through investments primarily in the common stocks of established companies throughout the world, including the U.S. The fund will diversify broadly by investing in a variety of industries in developed and, to a lesser extent, emerging markets. It normally invests in at least five countries, one of which will be the U.S. Under normal conditions, at least 80% of the fund's net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) will be invested in stocks and at least 40% of the fund's net assets will be invested in stocks of companies outside the U.S.
The investment seeks reasonable income. The fund invests in securities issued throughout the world. It invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities. The fund invests primarily in income-producing equity securities. It invests in other types of equity securities and debt securities, including lower-quality debt securities. The fund allocates investments across different countries and regions. It uses fundamental analysis of factors such as each issuer's financial condition and industry position, as well as market and economic conditions, to select investments.
