The investment seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes in equity securities. Barclays ETN+ FI Enhanced Global High Yield Exchange Traded Notes (the “ETNs”) that Barclays Bank PLC may issue from time to time are linked to a leveraged participation in the performance of the MSCI World High Dividend Yield USD Gross Total Return Index (the “Index”). The ETNs seek to approximate the returns that might be available to investors through a leveraged “long” investment in the Index. The Index is designed to track the performance of large and mid cap stocks (excluding REITS) across 24 developed markets countries tracked by the MSCI World Index.
The investment seeks long-term growth of principal and income. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 40% of its total assets in securities of non-U.S. companies and at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities, including common stocks, depositary receipts evidencing ownership of common stocks, preferred stocks, securities convertible into common stocks, and securities that carry the right to buy common stocks.
