The investment seeks total return from current income and capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in Fixed Income Investments. It invests significantly in issuers organized or located outside the U.S. or doing a substantial amount of business outside the US, securities denominated in a foreign currency or foreign currency forward contracts. The fund may invest in securities of issuers with business activities located in emerging market countries or denominated in an emerging market currency. It may invest up to 15% of its assets in securities that are rated below investment grade or the unrated equivalent.
The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of The BofA Merrill Lynch Global Ex-US Issuers High Yield Constrained Index. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the fund's benchmark index. The index is comprised of below investment grade bonds issued by corporations located throughout the world (which may include emerging market countries) excluding the United States denominated in Euros, U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars or pound sterling and issued in the major domestic or eurobond markets.
