The investment seeks to provide income and preserve capital. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a fixed income strategy that primarily invests in investment-grade fixed income securities including: (1) obligations issued or guaranteed by the United States Government, its agencies or instrumentalities, (2) securities issued by foreign governments, their political subdivisions or agencies or instrumentalities, (3) certificates of deposit and time deposits issued by domestic banks, foreign branches of domestic banks, foreign subsidiaries of domestic banks, and domestic and foreign branches of foreign banks; etc. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks total return which exceeds that of its benchmark indexes, consistent with prudent investment management. The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing under normal circumstances at least 80% of its assets in inflation-linked bonds that are economically tied to at least three developed and emerging market countries (one of which may be the United States), which may be represented by forwards or derivatives such as options, futures contracts, or swap agreements. It is non-diversified.
