The investment seeks to maximize total return consisting of income and capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in fixed income securities of issuers located in developed market countries. It will invest in both investment grade and below investment grade fixed income securities, and the advisor intends to invest less than 35% of its net assets in below investment grade fixed income securities (commonly known as "high yield debt" or "junk bonds"). The fund may invest up to 25% of its net assets in convertible debt securities. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks a high level of total return that is consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests in a wide variety of debt instruments and income-producing securities. The fund invests at least 65% of its total assets in investment grade debt securities. However, the fund may invest up to 35% of its total assets in debt securities rated below investment grade (commonly called "junk bonds"). The overall average credit quality of the fund will remain investment grade. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks long-term total return. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in bonds. It invests primarily in companies located in developed countries world-wide (including the United States), but may also invest in emerging markets. Under normal market conditions, the fund will invest at least 40% of its assets in foreign investments (unless the portfolio managers deem market conditions unfavorable, in which case the fund would invest at least 30% of its assets in foreign investments).
