Description
The investment seeks total return. The fund allocates its assets among equity securities, fixed-income securities, and various other types of investments, from all over the world. It may allocate up to 100% of its assets in equity, fixed-income, U.S., or foreign securities. The fund may invest in debt securities of any kind and of varying duration and maturities. It may invest in below-investment-grade debt securities (commonly referred to as "junk bonds"), including distressed securities.
The investment seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and current income. The fund invests primarily in shares of a combination of underlying mutual funds and exchange-traded funds ("ETFs") for which Northern Trust Investments, Inc. ("NTI"), the fund's investment adviser, or an affiliate acts as investment adviser. Under normal market conditions, it will invest significantly in funds that invest in companies that are located, headquartered, incorporated or otherwise organized outside of the United States as represented in either the MSCI EAFE® Index, MSCI Emerging Markets® Index or other diversified foreign indices.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
