The investment seeks total return to the extent consistent with a relatively low volatility of principal. The fund will invest all of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in investment grade fixed income securities at the time of purchase, including, but not limited to, fixed income securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or instrumentalities, and by U.S. and non-U.S. corporations. It may invest up to 30% of its net assets in foreign securities, including up to 10% of its net assets in securities of issuers located in emerging markets.
The investment seeks a total return that, over time, is greater than returns of money market funds and is consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests in a wide variety of debt instruments and income-producing securities payable primarily in U.S. dollars. It invests at least 90% of its total assets in investment grade debt securities, but may invest up to 10% of its total assets in debt securities rated below investment grade (commonly called "junk bonds"). The overall average credit quality of the fund will remain investment grade. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks to obtain a high level of current income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in U.S. dollar-denominated money market and high quality investment-grade debt securities of all types, and repurchase agreements for those securities. It invests more than 25% of total assets in the financial services industries. The fund normally maintains a dollar-weighted average maturity of 0.75 years or less. It invests in fixed rate securities with a maximum maturity of two years or less and floating rate securities with a maximum maturity of three years or less.
