The investment seeks daily investment results before fees and expenses of 300% of the inverse of the performance of the Health Care Select Sector Index. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in: swap agreements; futures contracts; options; reverse repurchase agreements; ETFs; and other financial instruments that, in combination, provide inverse leveraged and unleveraged exposure to the index. The index includes domestic companies from the industries: pharmaceuticals; health care equipment & supplies; health care providers & services; biotechnology; life sciences tools & services; and health care technology. It is non-diversified.

The fund, under normal circumstances, creates short positions by investing at least 80% of its assets in: swap agreements; futures contracts; options; reverse repurchase agreements; exchange-traded funds ("ETFs"); and other financial instruments that, in combination, provide inverse leveraged and unleveraged exposure to the Dynamic Pharmaceutical Intellidex Index. The index consists of common shares of U.S. pharmaceutical companies. It is non-diversified.

The fund invests in derivatives that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should have similar daily return characteristics as two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily return of the index.
