Description
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities issued by technology and communications companies, both domestic and foreign, regardless of their stock market value (or "market capitalization"). Equity securities include common stocks, preferred stocks, securities convertible into common stocks and warrants. The Portfolio may invest up to 25% of its total assets in foreign companies.
The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors® US Listed Semiconductor 25 Index (the "Semiconductor Index"). The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the fund's benchmark index. The Semiconductor Index is comprised of common stocks and depositary receipts of U.S. exchange-listed companies in the semiconductor sector. Such companies may include medium-capitalization companies and foreign companies that are listed on a U.S. exchange. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks long-term capital growth. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets, under normal circumstances, in equity securities of companies operating in the technology sector, as determined by the Adviser. It invests primarily in common stocks of U.S. companies, but may, to a lesser extent, invest in common stocks of foreign companies and American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") that meet the investment criteria of the fund.
