Description
The investment seeks current income and some capital appreciation. The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing in a portfolio of securities and other instruments, which may exclusively, primarily or otherwise include investment companies sponsored by the fund's adviser as well as other investment companies, including exchange-traded funds ("ETFs"), unaffiliated with the fund. It may invest in a diversified portfolio of equity, fixed income and other diversifying asset classes ("diversifiers") in an effort to achieve the fund's investment objective.
The investment seeks current income; capital appreciation is a secondary objective. The fund is a "fund of funds," it invests in other American Century mutual funds (the underlying funds) that represent a variety of asset classes and investment styles. The fund's target allocation for the various asset classes and underlying funds is shown as follow: 45% of its assets in stock funds; 45% of its assets in bond funds; and 10% of its assets in money market funds. The target asset mix of One Choice In Retirement Portfolio is expected to remain fixed over time.
