Description
The investment seeks the highest total return (total return includes capital appreciation and income) over time consistent with its asset mix. The fund allocates its investments in underlying funds that invest in the following asset classes: equities, equity diversifiers, inflation sensitive instruments, fixed-income diversifiers and fixed-income securities. Its asset mix will become more conservative, with an increasing exposure to investments in fixed-income securities and short-term bonds, each year until reaching the year approximately fifteen years after the retirement date. While the fund is non-diversified, it invests in diversified underlying holdings.
The investment seeks high total return until its target retirement date. The fund invests in a combination of Fidelity® domestic equity funds, international equity funds (developed and emerging markets), bond funds, and short-term funds. It uses an asset allocation strategy that becomes increasingly conservative until it reaches an allocation similar to that of the Fidelity Freedom® Income Fund (approximately 17% in domestic equity funds, 7% in international equity funds, 46% in bond funds, and 30% in short-term funds (approximately 10 to 19 years after the year 2005)).
The investment seeks the highest total return over time consistent with an emphasis on both capital growth and income. The fund pursues its objective by investing in a diversified portfolio of other T. Rowe Price stock and bond funds that represent various asset classes and sectors. It is managed based on the specific retirement year (target date 2005) included in its name and assumes a retirement age of 65. The target date refers to the approximate year an investor in the fund would plan to retire and likely stop making new investments in the fund.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
