Description
The investment seeks as high a level of current income as is consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in short- and intermediate-term securities such as corporate bonds or notes or government securities, including agency securities. It may invest up to 35% of its net assets in high-yield/high-risk bonds, also known as "junk" bonds. The manager expects to maintain an average-weighted effective maturity of three years or less under normal circumstances.
The investment seeks to provide current income. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in corporate bonds with a term to maturity of between 1 and 5 years. For purposes of such policy, "bonds" includes bonds, debentures, notes and zero coupon obligations. The advisor currently anticipates that it will only purchase bonds that are, at the time of investment, rated investment grade (BBB- or above by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services ("S&P") or Fitch Ratings Inc. ("Fitch") or Baa3 or above by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. ("Moody's")) or their unrated equivalents.
The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Universal 1-5 Year Index, which measures the performance of U.S. dollar-denominated taxable bonds that are rated either investment-grade or high yield with remaining maturities between one and five years. The fund invests at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents, as well as in securities not included in the index.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
