Description
The investment seeks to provide current income and competitive total return. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets plus borrowings for investment purposes in investment grade fixed income securities (bonds). It will invest in municipal securities, convertible securities, including convertible bonds and preferred stocks, and cash equivalents. The fund may invest up to 15% of its total assets in bonds that are below investment grade, which are commonly referred to as "high yield" or "junk" bonds, and non-dollar denominated foreign and emerging market securities. It will maintain an average duration between 1 and 3 years.
The investment seeks to track the performance of a market-weighted corporate bond index with a short-term dollar-weighted average maturity. The fund employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. 1-5 Year Corporate Bond Index. This index includes U.S. dollar-denominated, investment-grade, fixed-rate, taxable securities issued by industrial, utility, and financial companies, with maturities between 1 and 5 years. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in bonds included in the index.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
