Description
The investment seeks to maximize total return; as a secondary objective, the fund seeks a high level of income. The fund invests at least 65% of its assets in investment-grade, non-money market debt securities. It may invest up to 35% of its assets in high-yield and/or emerging markets debt securities. No more than 10% of the fund's assets may be invested in non-dollar denominated debt securities. The weighted average duration of the fund's portfolio must be three years or shorter.
The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Universal 1-5 Year Index, which measures the performance of U.S. dollar-denominated taxable bonds that are rated either investment-grade or high yield with remaining maturities between one and five years. The fund invests at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents, as well as in securities not included in the index.
The investment seeks to provide current income while maintaining limited price volatility. The fund invests in a variety of high-quality and, to a lesser extent, medium-quality fixed income securities, at least 80% of which will be short- and intermediate-term investment-grade securities. High-quality fixed income securities are those rated the equivalent of A3 or better; medium-quality fixed income securities are those rated the equivalent of Baa1, Baa2, or Baa3.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
