Description
The investment seeks current income. The fund buys and sells portfolio securities based primarily on the Adviser's market outlook and analysis of how securities may perform under different market conditions. It may also use derivative contracts and/or hybrid instruments to implement elements of its strategies, particularly to manage duration and hedge against potential losses. The fund may also invest in government securities that are supported by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S.1-3 Year Treasury Bond Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of its net assets in securities included in the index. The index includes all publicly-issued U.S. Treasury securities that have a remaining maturity of greater than or equal to one year and less than three years, are rated investment grade, and have $250 million or more of outstanding face value. The securities in the index must be denominated in U.S. dollars and must be fixed-rate and non-convertible.
The investment seeks to track the performance of a market-weighted government bond index with a short-term dollar-weighted average maturity. The fund employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. 1-3 Year Government Float Adjusted Index. This index includes fixed income securities issued by the U.S. Treasury and U.S. government agencies and instrumentalities, as well as corporate or dollar-denominated foreign debt guaranteed by the U.S. government, all with maturities between 1 and 3 years. At least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in bonds included in the index.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
