Description
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of companies located in the Asia (excluding Japan) region ("Asia (ex-Japan)"). It invests primarily in common stock, but may also invest in other types of equity securities, including, but not limited to, preferred stock, rights, warrants and depositary receipts. The fund will generally invest in equity securities of companies which have a market capitalization at the time of purchase of greater than U.S. $500 million.

Under normal market conditions, the fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets, which include borrowings for investment purposes, in the common and preferred stocks of companies located in Asia ex Japan, which consists of all countries and markets in Asia excluding Japan, but including all other developed, emerging, and frontier countries and markets in the Asian region.
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in stocks issued by companies that are located in, or that have economic ties to, Asia (excluding Japan). It may purchase stocks issued by companies of any size, but typically focuses its investments on large- and mid-cap stocks. The fund is non-diversified.
