The investment seeks to provide current income that is exempt from regular federal income tax and Maryland state and local income taxes, while preserving capital. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes in investment-grade municipal bonds and other municipal obligations issued by the State of Maryland, its counties, municipalities and other taxing districts, and other issuers located outside of Maryland that are exempt from federal income taxes, federal alternative minimum tax and Maryland state and local income taxes. It will invest in securities of varying maturity. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks a high level of current income exempt from federal income tax and Maryland personal income taxes. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in investment-grade municipal securities whose interest is exempt from federal and Maryland personal income taxes. It allocates assets across different market sectors and maturities. The fund potentially invests more than 25% of total assets in municipal securities that finance similar types of projects. It is non-diversified.
