The investment seeks to provide shareholders with income exempt from Federal income tax and Pennsylvania personal income taxes. The fund invests primarily in a portfolio of long-term investment grade Pennsylvania municipal bonds. Under normal circumstances, it will invest at least 80% of its assets in Pennsylvania municipal bonds. At least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in investment grade securities. The fund's weighted average maturity will be more than ten years. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks to provide current income that is exempt from both federal and Pennsylvania personal income taxes. The fund invests primarily in high-quality municipal bonds issued by Pennsylvania state and local governments, as well as by regional governmental and public financing authorities. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its assets will be invested in securities whose income is exempt from federal and Pennsylvania state taxes. Although the fund has no limitations on the maturities of individual securities, its dollar-weighted average maturity is expected to be between 10 and 25 years. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks a high level of interest income that is exempt from both federal and state income tax for individual residents of the state of Pennsylvania; it also seeks income that is not a tax preference item for purposes of the federal alternative minimum tax. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) will be invested in municipal securities that pay interest that is exempt from federal income tax and is not a Tax Preference Item, and any applicable state income tax for individual residents of the state of Pennsylvania.
