The investment seeks current income exempt from federal income tax and Pennsylvania individual income tax. The fund normally invests at least 80% of the fund's net assets in municipal securities whose interest is exempt from federal income tax, including federal alternative minimum tax (AMT), and Pennsylvania individual income tax. It invests up to 20% of the fund's net assets in securities whose interest is subject to federal income tax, including federal AMT.
The investment seeks to provide current income that is exempt from both federal and Pennsylvania personal income taxes. The fund invests primarily in high-quality municipal bonds issued by Pennsylvania state and local governments, as well as by regional governmental and public financing authorities. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its assets will be invested in securities whose income is exempt from federal and Pennsylvania state taxes. Although the fund has no limitations on the maturities of individual securities, its dollar-weighted average maturity is expected to be between 10 and 25 years. It is non-diversified.
