Description
The investment seeks to generate current income that is exempt from federal personal income tax consistent with the preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal bonds and other fixed-income securities that generate income exempt from regular federal income tax, including the federal alternative minimum tax ("AMT"). While it will invest primarily in tax exempt securities, it is possible that up to 20% of the fund's total assets may be invested in securities that generate income that is not exempt from regular federal income tax, including the federal AMT.
The investment seeks high current income that is exempt from federal and Hawaii income tax. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets plus borrowings for investment purposes in investment grade municipal obligations - debt securities that pay interest which, in the opinion of counsel to the issuer, is exempt from both federal income tax and the federal alternative minimum tax. It normally invests not less than 50% of its net assets in Hawaii municipal obligations. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks as high a rate of income exempt from federal income taxes as is consistent with prudent investment management. The fund invests primarily in a diversified selection of municipal bonds (for example, general obligation bonds of a state or bonds financing a specific project) with maturities of one to seventeen years. A majority of the fund's investments are in issues with maturities longer than five years. It normally invests at least 70% of its total assets in municipal bonds rated A or better by Moody's or S&P, meaning that up to 30% of the fund's total assets may be invested in medium and lower-quality bonds.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
