The fund normally invests at least 80% of the fund's net assets in municipal securities whose interest is exempt from federal income tax, including federal alternative minimum tax (AMT), and Minnesota individual income tax. It invests up to 20% of the fund's net assets in securities whose interest is subject to federal income tax, including federal AMT. While the fund may purchase securities of any maturity, under normal circumstances, the advisor expects the fund's dollar-weighted average effective maturity to be between 3 and 20 years.

The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in investment-grade municipal securities whose interest is exempt from federal and Minnesota personal income taxes. It manages the fund to have similar overall interest rate risk to an index designed to represent Fidelity Management & Research Company's view of how the fund's competitive universe will perform over time. The fund allocates assets across different market sectors and maturities. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks high current income that is exempt from federal regular income tax and Minnesota regular personal income tax consistent with preservation of capital. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing primarily in municipal securities that generate interest income that is exempt from regular federal income tax and Minnesota regular personal income tax. It invests 100% (and, as a fundamental policy, no less than 80%) of its net assets in such tax-exempt municipal securities. It is non-diversified.
