Description
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities of mid-capitalization companies, and in derivatives and other instruments that have economic characteristics similar to such securities. The principal type of equity security in which the fund invests is common stock. The fund's manager considers an issuer to be a mid-capitalization issuer if it has a market capitalization, at the time of purchase, within the range of the largest and smallest capitalized issuers included in the Russell Midcap® Index.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the total return of stocks of mid- to small-capitalization United States companies. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in common stocks included in the Dow Jones U.S. Completion Total Stock Market IndexSM, which represents the performance of stocks of mid- to small-capitalization U.S. companies. It uses statistical sampling techniques based on such factors as capitalization, industry exposures, dividend yield, price/earnings (P/E) ratio, price/book (P/B) ratio, and earnings growth to attempt to replicate the returns of the index using a smaller number of securities.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the total return of stocks of mid-capitalization United States companies. The fund invests normally at least 80% of assets in securities included in the Russell Midcap® Index. It lends securities to earn income.
