The fund normally invests its assets in common stocks included in the Russell 3000® Index (the fund's benchmark), which measures the performance of the largest 3,000 U.S. companies representing approximately 98% of the investible U.S. equity market. It may invest in the securities of other investment companies, including leveraged, non-leveraged, inverse, and sector based exchange-traded funds ("ETFs"), that invest primarily in equity securities.
The investment seeks long-term capital growth. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes) in securities of mid-sized companies. The Adviser focuses mainly on the securities of mid-sized U.S. companies which have market capitalizations similar to those included in widely known indices such as the Russell Midcap® Index or the S&P MidCap 400 Index.
