Description
The investment seeks investment results that exceed the risk adjusted performance of approximately 50% of the long/short equity hedge fund universe as defined by the HFRI Equity Hedge (Total) Index constituents. The fund is a ''fund of funds'' that seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in both long and short positions in other exchange-traded funds ("ETFs'') and exchange-traded notes ("ETNs") that offer diversified exposure to global regions, countries, investment styles, sectors and industries. It may use swaps based on published indices, including international indices. The fund also may invest in exchange-traded currency trusts.
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation with less volatility than the broad equity market; capital preservation is a secondary consideration. The fund is a fund-of-funds and as such invests in no-load and load waived mutual funds, and ETFs ("underlying funds"). The underlying funds, in turn, invest primarily in individual securities such as common stocks and bonds. The fund will have substantial holdings in Core Equity underlying funds and/or Total Return underlying funds.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
