Description
The investment seeks maximum total return, consistent with preservation of capital and prudent investment management. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities that are issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or government-sponsored enterprises ("U.S. government securities"), which may be represented by forwards or derivatives such as options, futures contracts or swap agreements. It may invest, without limitation, in derivative instruments, such as options, futures contracts or swap agreements, or in mortgage- or asset-backed securities.
The investment seeks to track the performance of an index of extended-duration zero-coupon U.S. Treasury securities. The fund employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Treasury STRIPS 20-30 Year Equal Par Bond Index. This index includes zero-coupon U.S. Treasury securities (Treasury STRIPS), which are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, with maturities ranging from 20 to 30 years. The fund invests by sampling the index. At least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in U.S. Treasury securities held in the index.
The investment seeks to provide total return that closely corresponds, before fees and expenses, to the total return of the BofA Merrill Lynch Long US Treasury Principal STRIPS IndexSM. The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets (exclusive of collateral held from securities lending) in the component securities of the BofA Merrill Lynch Long US Treasury Principal STRIPS Index SM (the "underlying index"). The underlying index is an unmanaged index comprised of long maturity Separate Trading of Registered Interest and Principal of Securities ("STRIPS") representing the final principal payment of U.S. Treasury bonds.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
