Description
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital and, secondarily, current income. The fund invests primarily in dividend-paying equity securities. It invests in securities that the portfolio managers believe are undervalued based on various valuation measures. The fund may invest up to 25% of its net assets in securities of foreign issuers.
The investment seeks to provide an above-average level of current income and reasonable long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests mainly in common stocks of mid-size and large companies whose stocks typically pay above-average levels of dividend income and are, in the opinion of the purchasing advisor, undervalued relative to other such stocks. In addition, the advisors generally look for companies that they believe are committed to paying dividends consistently. Under normal circumstances, it will invest at least 80% of its assets in equity securities. The fund uses multiple investment advisors.
The investment seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the FTSE RAFI US 1000 Index (the "underlying index"). The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the underlying index. The underlying index was composed of approximately 1,000 U.S. stocks that FTSE International Limited and Research Affiliates LLC strictly in accordance with its guidelines and mandated procedures, included to track the performance of the largest U.S. equity stocks based on the following four fundamental measures: book value, cash flow, sales and dividends.

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
