The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in securities of large-capitalization companies (the 80% policy). It invests primarily in securities of large-capitalization companies that the Manager believes have long-term capital appreciation potential. The fund's advisor currently defines large-capitalization stocks as those with market capitalizations of $5 billion or greater at the time of purchase.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the Dow Jones U.S. Dividend 100™Index. The fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in stocks that are included in the index. The index is designed to measure the performance of high dividend yielding stocks issued by U.S. companies that have a record of consistently paying dividends, selected for fundamental strength relative to their peers, based on financial ratios.
The investment seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the S&P 500® Low Volatility High Dividend Index. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its total assets in securities that comprise the underlying index. S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC compiles maintains and calculates the underlying index, which is composed of 50 securities in the S&P 500® Index that historically have provided high dividend yields with lower volatility.
