The investment seeks to provide long-term growth of capital. The fund invests in a mix of American Funds in different combinations and weightings. The underlying American Funds will primarily consist of growth funds. Through its investments in the underlying funds, the fund will have significant exposure to growth-oriented common stocks. The fund will typically have significant exposure to issuers domiciled outside the United States. It may also have exposure to smaller capitalization issuers and issuers domiciled in emerging markets.
The investment seeks growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in stocks and primarily in common stocks. It allocates the fund's assets among sector central funds that provide exposure to different sectors of the U.S. stock market which include consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, financials, health care, industrials, information technology, materials, telecom services, and utilities. Sector central funds are specialized investment vehicles designed to be used by Fidelity Funds. The fund invests in the sector central funds of domestic and foreign issuers, and in "growth" and/or "value" stocks.
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing in the common stock of established, high-quality, growth companies selected via bottom-up fundamental analysis. Under normal market conditions, it will maintain at least 80% of its net assets (including borrowings for investment purposes) in such securities. The fund may also invest up to 25% of its assets in foreign securities (including American Depositary Receipts and emerging market securities). To the extent invested in common stocks, the fund generally invests in only 25-40 companies at any given time.
