The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of the fund's net assets in equity securities of U.S. large-capitalization companies. It invests principally in equity securities of large-capitalization companies, which the managers define as companies with market capitalizations within the range of the S&P 500® Index at the time of purchase. The market capitalization range of the S&P 500® Index was approximately $1.5 billion to $666.2 billion, as of October 31, 2015 and is expected to change frequently.
The investment seeks the investment results of the MSCI USA Minimum Volatility (USD) Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents. The index measures the performance of equity securities in the top 85% by market capitalization of equity securities listed on stock exchanges in the USA that, in the aggregate, have lower volatility relative to the broader U.S. equity market.
