The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the total return performance of fixed-income securities in the aggregate, as represented by the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index.
The fund is a "feeder" fund that invests all of its assets in the Master Portfolio of MIP, which has the same investment objective and strategies as the fund. Under normal circumstances, at least 90% of the value of the fund's assets, plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes, is invested in securities comprising the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Index.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index.
The fund will invest at least 90% of its net assets in securities included in the index. The index is a broad-based benchmark measuring the performance of the U.S. investment grade, taxable bond market, including U.S. Treasuries, government-related and corporate bonds, mortgage pass-through securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and asset-backed securities that are publicly available for sale in the United States.
