Description
The investment seeks total return consisting of capital appreciation and income. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in bonds and other fixed-income securities. It may also invest in convertible securities and real estate investment trusts ("REITs"). The fund may also invest in derivatives, including forward foreign currency transactions, futures, options, and swaps involving securities, securities indices and interest rates, which may be denominated in the U.S. dollar or foreign currencies.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of its net assets in securities included in the index. The index is a broad-based benchmark measuring the performance of the U.S. investment grade, taxable bond market, including U.S. Treasuries, government-related and corporate bonds, mortgage pass-through securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and asset-backed securities that are publicly available for sale in the United States.
The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Universal Index. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents, including shares of money market funds advised by BFA or its affiliates, as well as in securities not included in the underlying index, but which BFA believes will help the fund track the underlying index. The index measures the performance of U.S. dollar-denominated taxable bonds that are rated either investment-grade or high yield.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
