Description
The investment seeks to provide a high level of current income and capital appreciation without undue risk to principal. The fund invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets in investment-grade debt securities. It may invest up to 20% of its total assets in below investment grade debt securities, commonly known as "high-yield" securities or "junk bonds." Although the fund will primarily be invested in domestic securities, up to 20% of the fund's assets may be invested in foreign securities, which may be denominated in foreign currencies. The fund may also invest in loans of any maturity and credit quality.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of its net assets in securities included in the index. The index is a broad-based benchmark measuring the performance of the U.S. investment grade, taxable bond market, including U.S. Treasuries, government-related and corporate bonds, mortgage pass-through securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and asset-backed securities that are publicly available for sale in the United States.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the aggregate price and interest performance of the debt securities in the Barclays® U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. The fund normally invests at least 80% of the fund's assets in bonds included in the Barclays® U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. Its manager uses statistical sampling techniques based on duration, maturity, interest rate sensitivity, security structure, and credit quality to attempt to replicate the returns of the Barclays® U.S. Aggregate Bond Index using a smaller number of securities. The fund invests in Fidelity's central funds.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
