It invests substantially in mortgage securities that are issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or instrumentalities, which include mortgage pass-through securities representing interests in "pools" of mortgage loans issued or guaranteed by the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae), Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. The fund may invest up to 15% of its net assets in foreign securities, which may include non-U.S. dollar denominated foreign mortgage securities.
The investment seeks to maximize total return. The advisor intends to invest at least 80% of the fund's net assets (plus the amount of borrowings for investment purposes) in bonds. Bonds include bonds, debt securities, and other fixed income instruments issued by governmental or private-sector entities. Under normal circumstances, the advisor intends to invest more than 50% of the fund's net assets in residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities.

The best choice is based on a combined analysis of lowest fees and highest similarity to the original fund.

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".
