The investment seeks total return with an emphasis on current income, but also considering capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in U.S. government securities. U.S. government securities include mortgage-backed securities and other types of asset-backed securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. Treasury, by an agency or instrumentality of the U.S. government, or by a U.S. government-sponsored entity. It generally invests substantially all of its assets in investment grade quality debt instruments. The fund may invest a relatively large percentage of the fund's assets in a single issuer or a small number of issuers.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Barclays U.S.3-10 Year Treasury Bond Index. The fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in securities included in the index. The index includes all publicly-issued U.S. Treasury securities that have a remaining maturity of greater than or equal to three years and less than ten years, are rated investment grade, and have $250 million or more of outstanding face value. The securities in the index must be denominated in U.S. dollars and must be fixed-rate and non-convertible.
The investment seeks to track the performance of a market-weighted government bond index with an intermediate-term dollar-weighted average maturity. The fund employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Barclays U.S. 3-10 Year Government Float Adjusted Index. This index includes fixed income securities issued by the U.S. Treasury and U.S. government agencies and instrumentalities, as well as corporate or dollar-denominated foreign debt guaranteed by the U.S. government, with maturities between 3 and 10 years. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in bonds included in the index.

The fees, balance and savings information above are estimated numbers, based on the data FeeX had at the day of publication, but may not be accurate due to incomplete or erroneous data.

The best choice is based on a combined analysis of lowest fees and highest similarity to the original fund.

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
