Description
The investment seeks a high level of current income that is not subject to Federal and California income tax. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets in a diversified portfolio of municipal securities with income payments that are exempt from Federal and California income taxes. It typically invests at least 65% of its total assets in medium- and lower-quality municipal securities that include securities rated BBB+ or lower by Standard & Poor's, or comparably rated by another NRSRO or, if unrated, determined by the manager, to be of comparable quality.
The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Bloomberg Barclays Municipal High Yield Short Duration Index. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the benchmark index. The index is composed of publicly traded municipal bonds that cover the U.S. dollar denominated high yield short-term tax-exempt bond market. The fund is non-diversified.

The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the benchmark index. The index is comprised of publicly traded municipal bonds that cover the U.S. dollar denominated high yield long-term tax-exempt bond market.
