Description
The investment seeks a high level of current income exempt from regular federal income tax. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in, or derive at least 80% of its income from, securities that are exempt from regular federal income tax and may subject the investors to alternative minimum tax. It may invest, without limitation, in securities that may subject the investors to federal alternative minimum tax. The fund invests at least 50% of its portfolio in debt securities rated BBB+ or below or Baa1 or below.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the S&P Municipal Yield Index. The fund generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index or in securities that the Sub-Adviser determines have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the economic characteristics of the securities that comprise the index. The index tracks the U.S. high yield municipal bond market and to provide income that is exempt from federal income taxes. The fund is non-diversified.
