Description
The investment seeks high current income; capital appreciation is secondary. Under normal market conditions, the portfolio managers will maintain at least 80% of the fund's net assets in high-yield corporate bonds and other debt instruments. The remaining assets may be invested in common stocks or other equity-related securities. Up to 40% of the fund's total assets may be invested in fixed-income obligations of foreign issuers. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in short-term money market instruments and U.S. government securities. The fund has no average maturity limitations, but it typically invests in intermediate-term and long-term debt securities.
The investment seeks to provide a high level of current income. The fund invests primarily in a diversified group of high-yielding, higher-risk corporate bonds-commonly known as "junk bonds"-with medium- and lower-range credit-quality ratings. It invests at least 80% of its assets in corporate bonds that are rated below Baa by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. (Moody's); have an equivalent rating by any other independent bond-rating agency; or, if unrated, are determined to be of comparable quality by the fund's advisor. The fund's high-yield bonds and loans mostly have short- and intermediate-term maturities.
The investment seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. dollar-denominated, high yield corporate bonds with remaining maturities of less than five years. The fund seeks to track the investment results of the Markit iBoxx® USD Liquid High Yield 0-5 Index, which is designed to reflect the performance of U.S. dollar-denominated high yield corporate debt. The fund generally invests at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents.

The best choice is based on a combined analysis of lowest fees and highest similarity to the original fund.

Similarity

FeeX's similarity algorithm analyzes over 15 investment characteristics like investment category, asset allocation, strategy, geographical allocation and more. FeeX gives each its own weight and calculates the similarity of any two investments based on a scale of 0 to 100%. Funds with a similarity ranking of 85% and higher are considered "similar".

Yes, funds and ETFs charge fees

Deep within every fund you own lies a hidden fee called expense ratio. It takes away a set % of your savings each and every year. It can often be easily reduced by switching to similar investments with lower expense ratios.
