The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. In the fund's pursuit of companies with a life science orientation, the fund has a fundamental policy to normally invest at least 25% of its total assets in securities of companies that are categorized in the "life sciences" sector.

While the fund can invest in companies of any size, the majority of fund assets are expected to be invested in large- and mid-capitalization companies.
