The investment seeks total return. The fund primarily invests in real estate investment trusts ("REITs") and other real-estate related securities. It invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes) in securities of companies in the real estate industry. The fund may invest in the securities of issuers located in a number of different countries throughout the world. The fund will maintain exposure to real estate related securities of issuers in the U.S. and in at least three countries outside the U.S. It may engage in "short-selling." The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks to provide investment results approximating the overall performance of the securities included in the FTSE® EPRA®/NAREIT® Global Index. The fund will invest substantially all (and at least 80%) of its net assets in equity securities included in the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Index, in weightings that approximate the relative composition of the securities contained in the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Index. Companies included in the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Index are engaged principally in real estate activities, including ownership, trading and development of income-producing real estate, and include REITs.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the fund's fees and expenses) of an equity index called the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Index. The fund will normally invest at least 90% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in common stocks or in depositary receipts representing securities in the index. The index is modified market cap weighted based on free float market capitalization and tracks the performance of listed real estate companies or real estate investment trusts ("REITs") in North America, Europe and Asia.
