Description
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in securities of small-cap companies in the particular markets in which the fund invests. It will primarily invest in a broad and diverse group of equity securities of foreign small companies of developed markets, but may also hold equity securities of companies located in emerging markets. The fund invests its assets in securities listed on bona fide securities exchanges or traded on the over-the-counter markets, including dual-listed securities, either within or outside the issuer's domicile country.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the Russell RAFI Developed ex-U.S. Small Company Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of its net assets in stocks included in the index, including depositary receipts representing securities of the index, which may be in the form of American Depositary receipts, Global Depositary receipts and European Depositary receipts. The index measures the performance of the small company size segment by fundamental overall company scores, which are created using as the universe the companies included in the Russell Developed ex-U.S. Index.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally (before fees and expenses) to the total return of the Russell RAFI Developed ex-U.S. Small Company Index. To pursue its goal, the fund primarily invests in stocks that are included in the Russell RAFI Developed ex-U.S. Small Company Index (the index). The index measures the performance of the small company size segment by fundamental overall company scores (scores), which are created using as the universe the companies in the Russell Developed ex-U.S. Index (the Russell Index).
