The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund seeks investments that will increase in value. It normally invests at least 80% of its investable assets in stocks of companies in a diverse array of foreign countries. For purposes of this policy, the fund will invest in stocks of companies that are organized under the laws of a foreign country, companies that derive more than 50% of their revenues from activities in foreign countries, and companies that have at least 50% of their assets located abroad. It may invest in large-, mid- or small-capitalization companies.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the Russell RAFI Developed ex-U.S. Large Company Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of its net assets in stocks included in the index, including depositary receipts representing securities of the index; which may be in the form of American Depositary receipts, Global Depositary receipts and European Depositary receipts. The index measures the performance of the large company size segment by fundamental overall company scores, which are created using as the universe the companies included in the Russell Developed ex-U.S. Index.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally (before fees and expenses) to the total return of the Russell RAFI ex-U.S. Large Company Index. To pursue its goal, the fund primarily invests in stocks that are included in the Russell RAFI Developed ex-U.S. Large Company Index (the index). The index measures the performance of the large company size segment by fundamental overall company scores (scores), which are created using as the universe the companies in the Russell Developed ex-U.S. Index (the Russell Index).
