The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes) in equity securities. It invests primarily in stocks of companies that are domiciled in developed foreign countries and principally traded in Japanese, European, Pacific and Australian securities markets or traded in U.S. securities markets. Such investments may include common stocks, which may or may not pay dividends, and securities convertible into common stocks, of companies domiciled outside the U.S.
The investment seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the S&P BMI International Developed Low Volatility IndexTM. The fund invests at least 90% of its total assets in the securities of companies that comprise the underlying index. S&P Dow Jones Indices ("S&P DJI" or the "index provider") compiles, maintains and calculates the underlying index, which is designed to measure the performance of 200 of the least volatile stocks of the S&P Developed ex US and South Korea LargeMidCap Index. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI EAFE US Dollar Hedged Index. The fund, using a "passive" or indexing investment approach, seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the underlying index, which is designed to track developed market performance while mitigating exposure to fluctuations between the value of the U.S. dollar and the currencies of the countries included in the underlying index. It will invest at least 80% of its total assets in component securities of the underlying index.
