The fund invests primarily in common stocks from the universe of the MSCI EAFE® (Europe, Australasia, Far East) Index, utilizing INTECH's mathematical investment process, applying a managed volatility approach. The MSCI EAFE® Index is an MSCI index that is designed to measure the performance of the developed markets of Europe, Australasia, and the Far East. The fund may also invest in foreign equity and debt securities.
The investment seeks the investment results of the MSCI EAFE Minimum Volatility (USD) Index composed of developed market equities that, in the aggregate, have lower volatility characteristics relative to the broader developed equity markets, excluding the U.S. and Canada. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the underlying index. The index measures the performance of international equity securities that in the aggregate have lower relative volatility.
The investment seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the S&P BMI International Developed Low Volatility IndexTM. The fund invests at least 90% of its total assets in the securities of companies that comprise the underlying index. S&P Dow Jones Indices ("S&P DJI" or the "index provider") compiles, maintains and calculates the underlying index, which is designed to measure the performance of 200 of the least volatile stocks of the S&P Developed ex US and South Korea LargeMidCap Index. The fund is non-diversified.
