The investment seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation above the capital appreciation of its international benchmarks, such as the MSCI EAFE Index, the fund's primary benchmark, and the BNY Mellon Classic ADR Index, the fund's secondary benchmark. The Sub-Advisor seeks to achieve the fund's investment objective by selecting a portfolio primarily composed of American Depository Receipts ("ADRs") from among the largest issuers of Europe, Australasia and the Far East ("EAFE") and Canada. The fund's portfolio may also include ADRs that provide exposure to the largest issuers in markets deemed to be emerging markets.

Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities of non-U.S. companies, including common stocks, depositary receipts evidencing ownership of common stocks, preferred stocks, securities convertible into common stocks, and securities that carry the right to buy common stocks. The fund typically invests in medium-to-large well-established companies based on standards of the applicable market.

The fund normally pursues its objectives by investing in a diversified portfolio consisting primarily of equity securities of established companies either located outside the United States or whose primary business is carried on outside the United States. The equity securities in which the fund invests include common stocks, depositary receipts, preferred stocks, convertible securities, and warrants and other rights. It normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities.
