The investment seeks to provide capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of companies located in a number of countries outside the United States. It invests primarily in companies that are located in the countries included, at the time of purchase, in the MSCI EAFE Index, which includes developed countries outside of North America. Although the fund may invest in companies across all market capitalizations, it invests primarily in companies that, at the time of purchase, have a minimum market capitalization of $2 billion.
The investment seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the S&P BMI International Developed Low Volatility IndexTM. The fund invests at least 90% of its total assets in the securities of companies that comprise the underlying index. S&P Dow Jones Indices ("S&P DJI" or the "index provider") compiles, maintains and calculates the underlying index, which is designed to measure the performance of 200 of the least volatile stocks of the S&P Developed ex US and South Korea LargeMidCap Index. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in a diversified portfolio of equity securities (the "80% Policy"). It invests primarily in companies domiciled in and tied economically to one or more countries represented in the MSCI Europe, Australasia, Far East Index ("MSCI EAFE Index") and may include securities trading in the form of depositary receipts.
