The Fund seeks long-term growth of capital. The Fund invests its assets in a diversified portfolio of equity securities selected for ther growth potential. Although the Fund will invest in US securities, it may invest up to 20% of its total assets in foreign securities including securities issued in emerging markets.
The Fund seeks to approximate, before expenses, the investment results of the Dow Jones Large Cap Growth Index. When possible, the Fund generally will invest in all of the stocks comprising the Index in proportion to their weightings in the Index.
The Fund seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of large-capitalization growth stocks in the United States. The Fund attempts to replicate the Russell 1000 Growth Index by investing substantially all its assets in the stocks that make up the Index.
