The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities (generally common and preferred stocks) of issuers located in emerging market countries. It may allocate investments across different emerging markets countries. The Subadvisor considers emerging market countries to be any country other than Canada, Luxembourg, the United States and the countries comprising the MSCI EAFE Index.
The investment seeks to track as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the total return of the FTSE Emerging Index. The fund invests at least 90% of net assets in stocks that are included in the index. The index is comprised of large- and mid- capitalization companies in emerging market countries, as defined by the index provider. It will concentrate its investments (i.e., hold 25% or more of its total assets) in a particular industry, group of industries or sector to approximately the same extent that the index is so concentrated.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally, before fees and expenses, to the price and yield performance of the Bank of New York Emerging Markets 50 ADR Index. The fund typically invests substantially all of its assets in the securities that make up the index.The index is intended to give investors a benchmark for tracking the price and yield performance of Emerging Markets Depositary Receipts. the fund is non-diversified.
