The investment seeks capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities of emerging market issuers. Equity securities may include common stocks, preferred stocks, warrants, participation notes and depositary receipts. It normally maintains investments in at least six emerging market countries and does not invest more than 35% of its total assets in any one emerging market country.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance of the Beta Thematic Emerging Markets ex-China Index. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in the companies included in the underlying index and the advisor generally expects to be substantially invested at such times, with at least 95% of its net assets invested in these securities. The underlying index is designed to provide broad, core emerging markets equity exposure by measuring the stock performance of up to 700 emerging markets companies, excluding companies listed or domiciled in China or Hong Kong. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Select Dividend Index, which measures the performance of a group of equity securities issued by companies in emerging market countries that have provided relatively high dividend yields on a consistent basis over time. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the index. It is non-diversified.
