The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests mainly in common stocks (growth or value stocks or both) of emerging market companies that the advisor believes have favorable investment potential. Under normal circumstances, it invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of emerging market companies.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the fund's fees and expenses) of an equity index called the NASDAQ AlphaDEX(R) Emerging Markets Small Cap Index. The fund will normally invest at least 90% of its net assets in common stocks and/or depositary receipts that comprise the index. The index is designed to select small cap stocks from the NASDAQ Emerging Markets Index (the "base index") that may generate positive alpha, or risk-adjusted returns, relative to traditional indices through the use of the AlphaDEX(R) selection methodology. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests normally at least 80% of assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets and other investments that are tied economically to emerging markets. It invests normally in common stocks and allocates investments across different emerging market countries. The fund uses fundamental analysis of factors such as each issuer's financial condition and industry position, as well as market and economic conditions, to select investments.
