Description
The investment seeks to achieve long-term growth of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of companies in emerging market countries. It may invest no more than 20% of its net assets in the securities of issuers in developed market countries. The fund may also invest a portion of its assets (i.e., more than 25% of its assets) in issuers in a single country or a limited number of countries and may invest up to 15% of its net assets in illiquid securities.
The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets (countries that have an emerging stock market as defined by MSCI, countries or markets with low- to middle-income economies as classified by the World Bank, and other countries or markets with similar emerging characteristics) and other investments that are tied economically to emerging markets. It normally invests primarily in common stocks.
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation through investments in equity securities of companies based in emerging markets. The Portfolio invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in emerging and frontier markets securities. It invests at least 65% of its total assets in common stocks, preferred stocks, rights and warrants issued by companies that are based in emerging or frontier markets, securities convertible into such securities (including Depositary Receipts), and investment companies that invest in the types of securities in which the Portfolio would normally invest.
